Alhamdulillah I am knowledgeable in Islam and strongly rely on evidence before giving advice, likely because of my academic background. I will remind my husband to pray in congregation and on time. Dishonesty is the root of all evil. I will not accept lying, whether directly or by omission from my spouse. My spouse can expect me to obey him in matters that are prescribed upon me, but I will not accept oppression. I expect my husband to show my utmost respect, especially in the company of others. I expect respect of my intelligence, joy when I have successes and no attempt to bar me from activities that are not forbidden in Islam. Freedom of movement is very important to me, so there can be discussions about that.
