I am Margarita and I am from Greece. I came here when I was 18 because I wanted to study and live here. So I completed my high school in Greece and did my GCSEs in uk here. My dad is British (Catholic)and my mum is Greek ( orthodox Christian). I am graduating as a Podiatrist this year and I am looking to get married. I embraced Islam last year. My parents don’t know about that because they have the wrong idea of Islam. I am single, not married before, not a widow. I cover my hair with hats, I am dressed modest and respectful. Right now I am shadowing a podiatrist to get to know my profession better. This podiatrist wants to keep me in the shop and work for him and later take over the shop. However, the podiatrist told me clearly that if another opportunity appears or anything better happens to you, he understands.

My ideal husband will be kind, I am not bothered about what he is doing just because I studied and I belong to the medical professions. My future husband won’t hesitate to provide and protect me. The ideal person is not going to force my parents accepting Islam. Instead he will show them the beauty of it. The last thing my parents want to hear is putting religions above his daughter who studied and tried so hard to get to where she is now. this means with career, success, self improvement, confidence and independence. The husband that I am looking for needs to be loyal, not wanting to marry other women and not looking at other women but only me. Treat me the best way possible while I am putting the effort to grow up our kids, look after the house and everything a wife should be doing. My questions to my future husband will be: When we are going to live ( whose house is going to be and what can you provide)? If I am going to stop my profession because I have to dedicate myself to our family, as a man of the house what are you going to do for me? Or what is my guarantees as a woman for leaving my parents house, trying to learn by myself a new religion and do as you say.
