How can we get more out of Ramadan?

Answered by: Sheikh Zafar ul Hasan

Hadith:

Prophet of Allah ﷺ said:

O Abu Saeed! If you pray (offer Salah) believing that it is the last prayer of your life, then your prayer would be good (as it would be with fear of Allah's Wrath and hope of Allah's Pleasure)

If we consider this Ramadan as the last Ramadan of our lives, in accordance with this hadith, then every minute of this Ramadan would become extremely valuable for us.

Hadith:

Prophet of Allah ﷺ said:

"The moon of Ramadan is sighted and the first night of Ramadan starts. A caller from the sky (heaven) calls:

O seeker of the good! Ramadan is here. Put in some more effort and increase your speed (to do good)!

O sinners! Ramadan is here. Stop all evil. Repent and beg for forgiveness."

This call is made every night (of Ramadan) and Allah Frees a large number of people from Hell-fire.

This is our good fortune that we have been blessed with this month of Ramadan. We should avail this chance to cry and beseech Allah to free us from Hell-fire, too.
