I strongly believe in community engagement and giving-back. I have volunteered for various non-profit organizations and Muslim community outreach organizations. This is the least we could do as part of our community obligations. I believe in maintaining ties of kinship as ordained in the Quran and see it as essential in cementing our community. I do attend Islamic conferences and lectures whenever I can in order to learn more about our deen, to become a better person and to get closer to Allah swt. I offer salah and read Quran daily.
