I will try my best to describe myself in a few lines here. I am basically a religiously oriented person who likes to enjoy life (in halal forms obviously, lol) as much as I can. I feel that Islam is very broad in scope and I try to follow the Islamic traditions to the best of my abilities. I believe that the 5 daily prayers are the most important aspect of Islam and if one offers thm on time, he will be greatly protected in his affairs by Allah swt By profession, I am basically a Mechanical Engineer graduated from VIT Vellore, Tamil Nadu. Since 2012, I have been working in the field of construction as a Mech Engr in the gulf region. I like to travel alot and go to landmark travel destinations with family and friends. I have some interest in sports (watching and playing) as well and play badminton, cricket and football as a hobby. Currently, I am based in Dubai and have my eyes set on working in the Gulf region. I believe that having goals in life is important but at the same time they should be well balanced. One of my aims is to earn a lot of money bi idhnillahi taala and working hard but at the same time have our share of enjoyment in this life as well. I believe in making friends and have good companionship along the way (not always needed but still important) and forgiving people whenever possible. I think that if we are capable of helping the Muslims in what ever way we can, then we should do so as that only strengthens our Iman iA. One of my newly developed hobbies is reading which is a grace from Allah swt as it broadens your horizons and develops your intellect like nothing else does. Some of my favourite books are The Productive Muslim, The Sealed Nectar, Playing Cards in Cairo, Behave, the Alchemist and a few others as well. Me and my family like to keep pets and we have a cat in the house for that. Like everyone else, I have my flaws and thats part of being human I guess. I will try to express myself as clearly as possible. Marriage is one of the most vital aspects of our deen and is regarded as half of it Subhan Allah. As mentioned in the Quran, a spouse is a sort of comfort and mercy as was the case for our father Adam as. As the Prophet has said that the spouse is chosen for 4 reasons and the best of the reasons is the deen (but I think all the four are valid never the less). For me, the most important aspect in a spouse is having compatibility in the sense that the lifestyle should be parallel or at a similar wavelength. 2 main qualities that I am looking for is deen and the education (even if one of these is accomplished, its fine). The deen in the sense that one should be aware of the basic sciences of our religion and genrally the faraaidh of the deen. And as for education, I m looking for a bachelors in any valid science and education. Looks are also imp but the first 2 are the most. I believe that marriage is a source of completing our lives and the spouses should be complementing each other for accomplishing the goals that they have set. If the girl likes travelling (which I think most women do), thats a bonus as well. As they say men are from Mars and women are from Venus but I m from neither, lol. As for the region, thats generally not my concern but being from the Gulf or from India is better as thats culturally more feasible. I dont really mind if the person is working or looking to be a home maker / house wife. I think that Islam gives freedom to both men and women to do what they are looking to. I hope that I find the person that I am looking for and wish the same to all here insha Allah.
